The 3rd European Asbestos Conference is Coming Up
Nearly two dozen top speakers from across Europe, the United States, Australia and New Zealand will give exciting, high-level presentations on various aspects of the main theme ‘Asbestos & Industry’.
An ideal networking opportunity, the EAF reaches out to all professionals globally. Whether you are in the field of raising awareness, contracting, removing asbestos, training, managing, testing, inspecting or consultancy, denaturalisation, health & safety, law or insurance, etc. There will be interesting and relevant presentations and debates for you to follow and take part in. To mention just a few speakers: Martin Gibson, the HSE Principal Specialist Inspector for Occupational Hygiene, Dr. Penny Woods (CE British Lung Foundation), Geoff Fary (until recently Chairman of the Australian Asbestos Safety and Eradication Council), Stephen Sadley (Keynote Speaker and CE of Asbestos Removal Contractors Association (ARCA)) Marcus Sanders of ARI Global Technologies (denaturalisating and re-using asbestos), Hein Tersteeg (Asbestos coordinator and CINI inspector for Asis-t at the ExxonMobil Rotterdam), etc.
Though the program is officially full, due to demand there will be even more speakers added soon!
There will be workshops with buffet lunch on the afternoon of Monday 25 September 2017, followed by an international all-day conference on Tuesday 26th concluded with drinks and (optional) dinner. The events are located at the Hilton Canary Wharf Hotel, in the heart of London. It has excellent public transport connections and is only fifteen minutes by taxi from London City Airport.

The EAF aims to improve asbestos awareness in professionals, in order to prevent future victims, improve safety in the workplace and to find the best regulations and practices. The EAF has an international Advisory Board, supported by eminent members such as Dr. Richard Lemen (former acting US Assistant Surgeon-General, former acting director of NIOSH and first EAF Keynote Speaker), Professor Nico van Zandwijk, globally renowned lung specialist and Barry Robson (President of the Asbestos Diseases Foundation of Australia).
